Stephen Y. Reed, M.D.
Dr. Reed, a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, is a native of Monroe, Michigan and graduated from Monroe High School as its youngest Valedictorian. He continued his academic excellence at the University of Michigan and was selected into Phi Beta Kappa and the Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his Glaucoma Fellowship at the Kresge Eye Institute, Wayne State University. He provides southeastern Michigan and northwestern Ohio with expertise in anterior segment surgery. Dr. Reed was a national VISX LASIK trainer for over 5 years. He was selected as one of the top refractive surgeons in 1999, being named a VISX Star Surgeon. He is an avid family man and enjoys sports.
Stanley L. Tao, M.D. MPH
Dr. Tao graduated summa cum laude from an accelerated biomedical program and received his BS-MD degree from Albany Medical College in New York. During medical school, he was a Macy's Scholar, receiving a full scholarship to the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, graduating with a Masters of Public Health in health policy and management in an accelerated program. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Dr. Tao then moved to Memphis, Tennessee to complete an intensive two-year vitreoretinal surgical fellowship at the renowned Vitreoretinal Foundation. He was awarded the Robert D. Reinecke Prize for Research in Ophthalmology, and presented at the national symposium for the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Tao manages a wide spectrum of medical and surgical diseases of the vitreous and retina. He has particular interest in utilizing cutting edge technology in surgical repair of retinal disease. He is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Medical Association.
Clair J. Schmidt, D.O.
Dr. Clair Schmidt, D.O., completed a subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine and the renowned Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Prior to obtaining her medical degree, she received a Masters Degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, in Speech and Hearing Science, after which she practiced Speech Pathology for four years in an underserved area in East Central Illinois as a Medical Speech Pathologist. In addition, Dr. Schmidt was adjunct faculty at Eastern Illinois University in Medical Speech Pathology.
Since completing her fellowship, Dr. Schmidt has devoted her professional life to treating vision issues in children, and strabismus in both children and adults. She has been in practice as a Pediatric Ophthalmologist in the greater Chicago area. She has published articles in the Journal of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Ophthalmic Genetics and the Journal of Cornea and External Diseases in issues involving Pediatric Ophthalmology, and also published with the American Osteopathic Association on the role of Osteopathic manipulation in the role of drug delivery.
Dr. Schmidt is a member of The American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Illinois Osteopathic Medical Society
Michael K. Tracy, M.D.
Dr. Tracy, a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, received his Doctor of Medicine degree at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. He completed his Ophthalmology residency training at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. His Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellowship was completed at the world renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. Dr. Tracy specializes in cornea and refractive surgery and has performed thousands of LASIK and PRK procedures. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS).
Brian W. Chinavare, M.D.
Dr. Chinavare, a General Ophthalmologist, received his B.S. in cell molecular biology from the University of Michigan and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Michigan Medical School. He completed his residency training at Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland Ohio.
Yasmyne Castillo-Ronquillo, M.D.
Dr. Castillo-Ronquillo has medical licenses in Iowa and Michigan and is presently teaching and working with the technical staff of Reed medical systems. Dr. Castillo-Ronquillo has 30 years in the field of ophthalmology, is an Associate Professor and Chief of Ocular Pathology at the University of the Philippines - Philippine General Hospital and Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences.
Ken N. Feinauer, O.D.
Dr. Feinauer is skilled in all optometric services, as well as, a broad personal experience in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. Dr. Feinauer graduated cum laude with a B.S. Degree from Alma College and graduated with honors from The Michigan College of Optometry in Big Rapids, Michigan. He is a member of The Michigan Optometric Association & American Optometric Association. Dr. Feinauer enjoys patient interaction and his hobbies include reading and all forms of outdoor recreation.
Douglas E. Gillies, O.D.
Dr. Gillies is a licensed optometrist in Michigan and Ohio with diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical certification. He graduated from Tecumseh High School, attended Michigan State University, is a cum laude graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and has over twenty-five years of experience in private practice. He is a Past Zone Governor of the Toledo Area Optometric Society. Dr. Gillies and his wife, Barb, have two grown children: Laurie and her husband, Matt, live in Whitehouse, Ohio; and Jeff and his wife, Chastity, live in the Columbus, Ohio area.
Courtney A. Dewey, O.D.
Dr. Dewey is a licensed optometrist in Ohio and Michigan. She graduated with a B.A. Degree from Wittenberg University and a Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Ohio State University College of Optometry. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Ohio Optometric Association and Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH). In 2005, she participated in a volunteer eye care mission to tsunami-affected regions in India. Dr. Dewey joined the Reed Vision team in June 2006 and provides complete family eye care with an interest in pediatrics and special-needs patients.
Spenser J. Brittain, O.D.
Dr. Brittain graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He received his Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and is a member of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Brittain has completed a post-graduate Residency Program where he gained experience in Glaucoma, Retina, Anterior Segment, Neurology, Pediatrics, and Oculoplastics. He joined the Reed Vision team in October 2006 practicing Comprehensive Optometry and providing complete family eye care.
David J. Aloi, O.D.
Dr. Aloi graduated from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania with dual majors of Biology and Molecular Biology. He received his Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University where he was named Senior Binocular Vision Clinician of the Year for 1997. Dr. Aloi was a graduate clinical and lab instructor while working on his residency in pediatrics and binocular vision at OSU. He has also served as a part-time staff doctor at the Columbus Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic. Dr. Aloi joined Reed Vision Associates in September of 2007 and provides complete family eye care. In his spare time, he enjoys running and biking. He has competed in several marathons and duathalons, qualifying for the Boston Marathon in 2005. Dr. Aloi and his wife, Lisa, have two young children.
Robbin W. Wagener O.D.
Dr. Wagener received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Alabama Birmingham and her Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She is a member of numerous Optometric Associations and Societies.
Donna M. Campbell, COMT
Mrs. Campbell is a COMT since 1995 with Subspecialties in Ophthalmic Surgical Assisting & Assisting in Low Vision and is currently the Reed Medical Systems Director of Clinical Education and Monroe County Community College Ophthalmic Assistant Program Director. She has 24 years of Ophthalmic Experience from the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center: Neuro-Ophthalmology and Eye Plastic & Orbital Surgery Services, Castleman Eye Center, Associates in Ophthalmology, P.C., and the Henry Ford Health System. She is a currently the MOPS Website Manager & Honorary Board Member and is a past President, Vice-President, Board Member, and Newsletter Editor. She authored the COMT Flash Cards and has been a presenter and instructor at a variety of workshops and institutions.
Amy J. Chytil, COT
Mrs. Chytil is currently the RMS Director of Technical Support and Refractive Surgery Program Director. She has 20 years of Ophthalmic Experiences from the DMC Health Care System and private practices. Mrs. Chytil has been JCAHPO certified since 1992 and has Certified training on the S4 VISX laser with IR, Certified training as an Intralase laser operator and Certified Wavescan operator.
Marilyn A. Harris, COA, OCT-C
Mrs. Harris is currently with Reed Medical Systems in the Ophthalmic Imaging Department. She is a current MOPS Board Member and Past Vice-President. She has 20 years of Ophthalmic Experience from private practices in Michigan and Kansas. Mrs. Harris has been JCAHPO certified since 1991. She is an Ophthalmic Assistant Program graduate from the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology 1991, a member of the Ophthalmic Photographers' Society since 1998, and was Certified in 2008 as an Optical Coherence Tomographer.
